Madonna Wipes Out at BRIT Awards

Featured Video

While performing her new hit, Living For Love, at the BRIT Awards yesterday, Madonna fell after a misstep, but quickly recovered and got back on stage and finished the song.

Her single, accompanied with video, was first released via Snapchat a few weeks ago to much applause.

The diva said via Instagram, «Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up» about the incident. She released a statement a little later saying she was «fine» and that her red cape had been «tied too tight». Watch the fall below!

In a bizarre twist, there was no gasp of shock to be heard during the show, because she fell with such grace people believe the fall to be an elaborate dance move. She even fell during the lyrics “I let down my guard, I fell into your arms”. The truth eventually emerged that it was not a staged move, but to Madonna’s credit, it was an incredible feat to get back up and finish the performance. The queen of pop really is the greatest show woman on earth.

Is 25 Year-Old Tyga Moving in with 17 Year-Old Kylie Jenner?

Rumors have been flying about the couple for months, but after Kanye West’s interview on The Breakfast Club, the cat’s out of the bag. Kanye said that Tyga and Kylie were in fact seeing each other. All that’s left is for Tyga or Kylie to admit it. On Tyga’s own interview on The Breakfast Club he beat around the bush saying, “I love her as a person. But not romantically speaking? I mean, I don’t think it really matters.” Tyga went on to explain how the couple know each other, “We’ve got a group of friends, we’ve been hanging out for the longest … I’ve been knowing her and her family for six, seven years, so it’s all love there, we’re going to continue to grow.”

The 17-year-old Jenner just purchased a five bedroom house rumored to be for the both of them, but is no where to be seen in the media to comment on the relationship.

Kelly Osbourne ‘Zendaya is my friend’, Threatens to Quit Fashion Police

After co-host of Fashion Police, Giuliana Rancic, made a scandalous joke at Zendaya Coleman’s expense, Kelly Osbourne joined the three ring circus by threatening to quit Fashion Police. Rancic said that Zendaya’s dreadlocks must have smelled of «patchouli» or «weed”, to which the singer and actress took as a racist comment.

Rancic quickly tried to rectify the situation by tweeting that she meant her hair looked ‘bohemian chic’ and that she never meant to bring race to the table.

Kelly Osbourne immediately began getting involved tweeting, “I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!” The 30-year-old British star says she is giving the ordeal 24 hours to resolve or else she will make good on her threats.

Beyonce Resurrected and More Fabulous Than Ever

On Sunday evening a Facebook group popped up called ‘RIP Beyonce’, that attracted over one million likes in a matter of hours. The about section of the page read, ‘At about 11 a.m. ET on Sunday (February 22, 2015), our beloved singer Beyonce passed away. Beyonce was born on September 4, 1981 in Houston. She will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.’

Fans immediately began posting on the page well wishes for the lost 33-year-old singer, actress, and dancer. CNN jumped on the bandwagon by posting an article that further solidified the matters as fact. To make matters worse, an associated Twitter account named @CnnNewsFacts tweeted, “BREAKING NEWS: BEYONCE WAS INVOLVED IN A HORRIFIC CAR CRASH! #RIPBeyonce.”

The tweet was accompanied by an image of a car crash that was actually taken at the site of Paul Walker’s fatal accident in 2013. The tweet has since been deleted after reports have come in that Beyonce is, in fact, alive and well.

The popstar is as fabulous as ever and continues to live happily ever after with her husband Jay Z and her daughter Blue Ivy in their new home in LA.

Kim Kardashian Reveals $2K Worth of Beauty Secrets

The 34-year-old mother and TV personality just dished on her hair and beauty routine. The starlette gave Into the Gloss an exclusive on what it takes to get herself camera ready, and the total cost amounted to a whopping $1,977.75 for all the creams, contours and lasers.

Kim said about her lengthy––and pricey––routine, “I just love to take care of my skin. I’m always researching different products, and I always try so many different things. I don’t just stick to one face wash or moisturizer.” Among the products that Kim uses, Guerlain Orchidée Impériale The Rich Cream tops the list as the most expensive product at $455 for 1.7 ounces, and a personal Quasar MD Plus LED light therapy machine is the priciest treatment at $795.

Before

Kim also revealed that her father, Robert Kardashian, was the one who kickstarted her love of makeup saying, “My dad got me makeup classes for Christmas when I was like 14 at some Joe Blasco makeup school, and I’ve worn that foundation ever since.” As someone who makes a living being in front of the cameras, it makes sense that Kim is a bona fide beauty buff. Some of her beauty secrets came as a shock, however. The starlet revealed that she only washes her hair once every five days.

After

“For my hair, I don’t wash it every day. We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day, and then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair. Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail, and on the fifth day is when you wash it. That’s a little excessive, maybe,” she said.

Armed with a cavalry of the best estheticians, hair stylists, and makeup artists, Kim’s nonchalant attitude towards her $2K daily beauty ritual doesn’t really come as a surprise. Still, I can’t justify dropping a few months worth of rent on my face––and I spend quite a bit.

Stay tuned to Fashion One to see how you can get Kim’s $2k beauty routine with $200.

Anna Wintour Looks Lost without Signature Sunglasses

Vogue’s reigning editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, looked positively lost this past Monday. The editor and was snapped by paparazzi without her signature shades at JFK Airport. Anna Wintour either had a really bad case of the Mondays or partied a little too hard at Vanity Fair’s Oscars party––either way the 65-year-old had no way of hiding how tired she looked without her signature shades.

Despite looking a little rundown, which is understandable after New York Fashion Week and awards season, Anna looked as fashionable as always. Her trademark blunt bob was perfectly coiffed and she wore a fleece lined motorcycle jacket with a knee length, floral skirt.

To make up for her lack of sunglasses, the editor-in-chief armed herself with a venti Starbucks and an oversized red tote. Anna looked fabulous, especially considering her age. All eyes, however, were on her sunglass-less eyes as she arrived at the airport. Wintour without sunglasses is rarer than Kanye West’s smile––the editor even kept her sunnies on indoors to watch the 87th Academy Awards ceremony.

That only leaves one question to be answered: where’d your sunglasses go, Anna?

Designer to Watch: Christina Economou from Greece

If you haven’t heard of Christina Economou, it won’t be long until you do. The designer attended Parsons and Istituto Marangoni in Paris, and won the 2011 International Award at London Graduate Fashion Week for her graduate project. Afterwards, her career in fashion was off to a sonic boom beginning as she worked for Giambattista Valli and as a correspondent for Greek Vogue in Paris. This move back to Athens, Greece was intentional to progress her own line. Her collections are reflections of her effortless and eclectic style, resulting in a line that is as hip and modern as it is timeless and cutting edge.

Economou said, “It has been quite the learning curve since launching my brand in 2013! I think many young designers today will find that fashion design education prepares you for the challenges of design but not necessarily for the trials and pitfalls of building a successful business.”

She said to Forbes that a few seasons ago she had a great new European stockist who confirmed a large order and backed out after she had ordered the fabrics to launch the production. Shortly after the fabric had come in, the stockist backed out of the deal and instead of letting that stop her she approached a local department store in Athens and suggested a pop-up shop during the holidays. Economou said, “The shop was a great success and helped to increase the brand’s exposure all while minimizing my losses and helping to sell some of my remaining stock. It turned out to be a great business lesson for future seasons!”

10 Most Incredible Oscar Moments

The Academy Awards were full of surprises this year. Some surprises infuriating, others exciting, but as a whole it was an incredible year for cinema. From the red carpet’s glitterati and glamour to the fine art of cinematography, check out our top ten favorite moments from the Oscars.

Lady Gaga’s breathtaking performance of The Sound of Music.

-Neil Patrick Harris’s opening monologue turned into broadway musical. He placed himself into scenes from Star Wars and The Wizard of Oz in hysterical fashion.

-Common and John Legend’s rivetting performance of Glory. The duet made massive impression on the night. Standing in front of the Edmund Pettus Bridge among a chorus dressed like marchers, the performance recognized not only the biggest hit among the Best Song nominees, but also the most memorable.

-Oprah and Emma Stone were awarded Lego Oscars. During the Everything is Awesome performance of The Lego Movie theme song the unlikely couple were given plastic toy awards. The entire scene was awesome.

-Patricia Arquette’s Feminist Acceptance Speech. She delivered the most poignant speech of the evening saying, «To every woman who gave birth to every taxpayer and citizen of this nation, we have fought for everybody else’s equal rights.”

Citizenfour winning Best Documentary. Director, Laura Poitras, said, «I share this award with Glenn Greenwald and the many other journalists who are taking risks to expose the truth.» Edward Snowden released a statement from Russia, following the win, through the ACLU that says, «My hope is that this award will encourage more people to see the film and be inspired by its message that ordinary citizens, working together, can change the world.»

-Tim McGraw’s tribute to Glen Campbell. The song was the last written by the 60-year veteran of country music, who penned it as a love letter to his wife when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2011. The performance was the most heart wrenching of the night.

-Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski’s speech upon winning Best Foreign Film for Ida. Normally exceptionally long speeches get a little ‘wrap it up’ music, but when the orchestra started, Pawlikowski wouldn’t give up. He went on and on until the orchestra stopped. And Pawlikowski continued until the audience burst into applause and the orchestra started again.

-Lady Gaga’s The Sound of Music performance. She gave 110% and it showed.

Adam Stockhausen and Anna Pinnock take home Best Production Design for The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The Grand Budapest Hotel taking a few Oscars home. There were plenty of near shutouts and snubs, but luckily The Grand Budapest Hotel won in much deserved categories: Best Costuming, Best Original Score, Best Production Design and Best Makeup and Hairstyling.

-Graham Moore’s acceptance speech for The Imitation Game screenplay. The most touching speech of the evening was when Moore explained that at 16-years-old he had attempted suicide for feeling prosecution the same way the main character in The Imitation Game is prosecuted for his homosexuality. Moore advised, «stay weird, stay different, and then when it’s your turn and you are standing on this stage, please pass the same message along.»
